By Slater Software.  PixWriter 3.WOW is recognized as the most powerful, the easiest to use, and the most cost effective writing-with-pictures talking word processor available!  Beginning and struggling readers and writers use PixWriter 3.WOW to write stories, complete lessons and develop their literacy skills.  Children see and hear what they write through a combination of words, pictures and speech.  Students write whole words, sentences, and stories by selecting buttons filled with both words and graphics.  PixWriter 3.WOW includes both English and Spanish languages.

Teachers and parents will appreciate the ease of creating custom vocabulary setups/toolbars.  By simply typing in a word and hitting the spacebar the vocabulary buttons fill with both the word and picture.  Choose from four different word bank arrays - 4 buttons (new-see graphic below), 16 buttons, 36 buttons, or 64 buttons.  Vocabulary buttons may be colored coded for additional cues to assist student writers.  PixWriter 3.WOW includes a library of over 9,000 beautifully drawn Literacy Support Pictures (LSP) and has the ability to import up to 128 additional graphics (line drawings, digital photo's, etc.).  The new PixWriter 3.WOW  toolbar enables teachers and students flexibility in creating, editing, and using word banks and written work.  PixWriter 3.WOW includes a new LSP Thesaurus so you can easily find the best representation for your words (see graphic below)

To write students simply select a button and the word and picture appear at the top of the screen as the word is spoken.  A new highlighting feature allows students to follow along as the computer reads their work aloud.   PixWriter 3.WOW is accessible by mouse, keyboard, touchscreen, and switch scanning (both single and two-switch scanning).
